Most local companies here do not need a large representative website with ten subpages and animation. They need a page that states plainly what you do, who you do it for, roughly what it costs and how to reach you. That is exactly where the opportunity is usually lost. The existing site is old, it falls apart on a phone, the contact details are out of date, or it simply never mentions the service being searched for. The customer closes the tab and writes to somebody who said more about themselves.

I am a freelance web developer with 19 years of experience. A small company often needs no more than four to six pages, but those pages have to be specific. An introduction saying what you do and in which area, an overview of services with real examples, indicative prices or at least ranges, references, and a contact section where the phone number is visible immediately rather than three clicks away. Generic phrases about innovative solutions convince nobody. So when scoping I ask which questions people phone you about most often, and we put those answers straight on the website. The page then keeps working while you are out on a job and cannot pick up.

Finished quickly, without unnecessary cost

There is no sense in dragging a small website out for half a year. If you have the texts, photographs and a logo ready, a simple presentation usually fits within 7 to 15 hours of work and is finished within a few days. If the materials are not ready, I help with the structure of the copy and tell you which photographs are worth taking so the site looks credible. I never charge for anything we did not agree beforehand, and I do not push features an operation of your size will not use. Hosting and the domain are a separate item, and I can recommend an option that does not cost you needlessly every year.

Mobile, speed and being found

Most people open your website on a phone, often on a weak signal and with a patience measured in seconds. I build pages so they load fast, use type that is readable without zooming, and put a call button within reach of a thumb. Alongside that comes the technical groundwork for search engines: meaningful headings, page descriptions, a sitemap, business details with an address and opening hours, and a link to the map listing. I do not promise first place in Google, but I do make sure the website itself is not the thing standing in the way.

When a presentation is no longer enough

Some businesses eventually need more: an order form, appointment booking, a simple shop, or a connection to invoicing so orders are not retyped by hand. I build those too, but I do not recommend starting with them. It is more sensible to launch the basic site, spend a few weeks watching what people actually write and call about, and only then add the feature that genuinely saves time. That way you pay for what gets used rather than for a module that sits untouched for a year.

Meeting in person and how the work runs

Svit is about ten minutes from Poprad, so a meeting can be arranged quickly rather than planned weeks ahead. Usually we meet once over the brief, the rest runs online, and before launch we go through the site together. During the work I show interim versions, so you see where it is heading rather than only the finished result. After launch I can maintain the site for 5 to 20 hours a month depending on its size, handle small fixes in 1 to 3 hours, or run an audit of an existing website in 3 to 6 hours.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. Svit is a few minutes from Poprad and a meeting at the start usually saves a lot of writing. The rest of the collaboration then runs online, at whatever pace suits you.

Will I be able to edit the website myself?

Yes. Anything that changes is prepared so it can be edited from a clear interface without knowing any code. At handover I walk you through where each part is changed, and I stay reachable afterwards.
